The
CCO provides the range of services in the following areas:

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT |

Overall
social, economic and political country analysis (and reporting,
depending on Foreign Affairs Canada’s (FAC) presence and capacity
in the country) |

Monitoring,
analysis and reporting on the country’s poverty reduction
strategy |
|
Monitoring,
analyzing, and reporting on public financial management and
procurement capacities and performance under government-led
program based approaches |
|
Monitoring
and reporting on the policies and programs of multilateral
and NGO actors |
|
Sectoral,
institutional and thematic analyses |
|
Active
participation in the preparation and ongoing review of CIDA
CDPFs |
|
Information
dissemination through (Newsletter & Website) |
|
Support
to HMG/N statistical information on CIDA assistance in Nepal
|

REPRESENTATION & PARTICIPATION |
|
Official
representation to the host government and donor community
|
|
Representation
in government/donor policy coordination forums |
|
Representation
in donor coordination and harmonization efforts |
|
Relations
with representative of local civil society constituencies |
|
Coordination
of actors representing Canadian cooperation through various
channels |

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY |
|
Identification
of new programming opportunities, especially those responding
to national program and coordination with other donors |
|
Direct
management of locally-administrated projects, funds and facility
(Canada Fund, Local Development Facility, etc) including those
supporting local ODA harmonization of CIDA HQ management of
programming through Canadian partners (geographical and responsive) |
|
Management
and technical leadership on program-based approaches, especially
under pooled funding arrangements where no Canadian partner
is involved in project implementation |

ADMINISTRATIVE , FINANCE AND IT SUPPORT |

Contracts
management for locally – managed projects, funds and consultants |

Admin/Financial/Logistics
support to Local Initiatives/Bilateral/Non-clients/CHC Delhi
and CIDA HQ |
