RESORCE CENTRE



The CCO established a Resource Centre in July 2000 to increase the availability and flow of information and help CCO become a knowledge-based institution.

The Centre acquires, classifies, catalogues, and indexes documents related to all CIDA activities in Nepal and from many CIDA offices in Asia. The Centre concentrates on acquiring documents that are not commercially available.

RESOURCE CENTRE AIMS TO:
Be a multi-disciplinary resource and documentation centre by providing Services to General Public
Make information easily available to the Government, Nepali and Canadian partners, development practitioners, researchers, and students
Improve the database system and document and training resources for the needs of clients, the CCO, and CIDA
Enhance development research, database management, and project management
Improve networking with resource and development partners
Enhance documentation of CIDA activities in Nepal
Enhance sharing of information on trade/commerce, consular activities (visa, political development), and higher education opportunities in Canada
Improve the quality of CCO publications and website
House the Reading Room on Conflict Resolution and Peace-building
Offer information on Educational Opportunities in Canada
